The Tool Library will be closed on April 19th and 20th for the holiday. Get your Easter egg hunt on and don't forget to pay a visit the Broadway Market!


ReTree the District



The Tool Library has embarked on an exciting new project with partners from across the University District. Our goal is to plant 1,000 trees over the next two years. The first informational meeting will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 1PM - 3PM at St. Joseph University Parish Community Room located at 3269 Main Street.

Nickel City Indie Market - Right in the Heights

Join the Nickel City Indie Market EVERY FOURTH FRIDAY from 6-10PM at our Community Space at 9 W. Northrup Place (right next to the Tool Library).

Nickel City Indie Market is a group of local artisans and crafters with skills and talents ranging from jewelry making, book making, and textiles to metalworking, painting, and handmade soaps and lotions.

Buy local and check out the Community Space, available for use by anyone in the community!

The tool library is always looking for creative ways to partner with area businesses and residents. If you would be interested in offering a program, sponsoring us, or donating tools / funds to the library, please email us. Sponsporship ideas include logos placed on membership cards, Tool Library literature, or even the tools themselves! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please visit our volunteer page.

Cleaning out your garage or basement? Got some extra tools laying around? The Tool Library is a program of the University Heights Collaborative, a community action group, which has 501(C)(3) non-profit status. That means any donations to the Library, whether monetary or in the form of tools, are tax deductible!
