For our Tool Library, we’ll take tools of ALMOST any kind in ALMOST any condition. We will accept or reject tool donations entirely at our discretion. If you have any questions about donating tools, please contact us
Although the following list is by no means exhaustive, it is meant to give you an idea of the sorts of tools we hope to carry (and have donated to us!)
Home Improvement Tools
- Power tools (drills, circular saws, planers, reciprocating saws)
- Hand tools of any kind (hammers, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, flat bars, masonry tools)
- Ladders (extension and folding)
- Extension Cords
- Shop vacs
- Painting Tools
- Wood Working tools (chisels, hammers)
- Plumbing Tools (Pipe Wrenches, cutters, supplies)
- Tile laying tools (Cutters, grout floats, spacers)
- Utility Knives
- Plastic tubs/crates for sorting
- Plastic bins with lids for making “kits”
- Metal shelves
- Paint rollers, paint scrapers, paint pans

Saturday: 10:00am - 2:00pm

How To Help:
The tool library is always looking for creative ways to partner with area businesses and residents. If you would be interested in volunteering with the library, offering a program, sponsoring us, or donating tools / funds to the library, please email us. Sponsporship ideas include logos placed on membership cards, Tool Library literature, or even the tools themselves!
Donations:
Cleaning out your garage or basement? Got some extra tools laying around? The Tool Library is a program of the University Heights Collaborative, a community action group, which has 501(C)(3) non-profit status. That means any donations to the Library, whether monetary or in the form of tools, are tax deductible!
Free Item Exchange:
The Tool Library sometimes receive bulk donations of tools/materials that are free for the taking. Current items you can pick up for free include:

- Scrap Lumber
- 5 Gallon Buckets
