Membership

It’s easy to borrow tools! Membership is open to anyone with valid ID and proof of address.

How does borrowing work?

Just like a regular public library – except members borrow tools!

Any tool can be borrowed for one week and renewed once for an additional week. Ask us about upcoming training sessions!

If the borrowed tool isn’t returned on time, a late fee of $1/day/tool will be charged to the member. This includes days the library is not open.

Individuals

Members can borrow from any branch, but they must be returned to the branch where they were borrowed. There are no limits on tools borrowed at one time, but arrangements must be made with a staff member to reserve tools.

Businesses & Agencies

Businesses and agencies may become Tool Library members by authorizing an individual to take responsibility for borrowing tools. All tools borrowed by agencies must be reserved in advance.
