Ongoing Projects in the Community




Bailey Fights Blight is a collaborative project being spearheaded by the Bailey Avenue Business Association that seeks to board up and secure blighted and vacant storefronts along Bailey Avenue, while incorporating public art as a way to beautify the neighborhood and help redevelop the commercial corridor's identity and sense of place.

ReTree the District is a collaborative project that seeks to build partnerships across the University District to work towards a goal of planting 1,000 trees over the course of two years.

Our first large scale planting day will be on Saturday, November 1, 2014. For those interested in volunteering on November 1st, please meet at 147 Diefendorf Hall on UB South Campus at 10AM.

How To Help:

The tool library is always looking for creative ways to partner with area businesses and residents. If you would be interested in offering a program, sponsoring us, or donating tools / funds to the library, please email us. Sponsporship ideas include logos placed on membership cards, Tool Library literature, or even the tools themselves! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please visit our volunteer page.


Donations:

Cleaning out your garage or basement? Got some extra tools laying around? The Tool Library is a program of the University Heights Collaborative, a community action group, which has 501(C)(3) non-profit status. That means any donations to the Library, whether monetary or in the form of tools, are tax deductible!
