Public Transportation

The University Heights neighborhood is blessed to have two metro rail stops at the University at Buffalo's South Campus and at Main Street and LaSalle Avenue. Additionally, the area is also home to numerous bus stops along Main Street, within walking distance of many homes. This availability allows residents to travel to other neighborhoods, such as Allentown and the Downtown Theater District, in order to enjoy other entertainment venues throughout the city.

Buffalo CarShare is a community-driven nonprofit organization that advances affordable and environmentally friendly transportation. By signing up for their service you can gain access to a car when you need one, while not being burdened with all the costs traditionally associated with car ownership.

The Buffalo CarShare located in University Heights is located behind St. Joseph Church and next to Townsend Lot on UB South Campus. The vehicle is a '09 5-dr Toyota Yaris.
